The Postville Welsh Church and Cemetery was originally known as the First Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Church and Cemetery. The church and cemetery are located in rural Platte County, Nebraska, near Monroe, in the central-eastern part of the state.
Although the church no longer has a practicing congregation, both the church building and cemetery continue to be maintained by the Postville Welsh Church and Cemetery Association, Inc., a nonprofit organization.
Over the years, the Association has researched, recorded, and preserved the history of the church and cemetery, as well as the history of the land and the people who settled it.

Postville Welsh Church and Cemetery preserves a meaningful piece of Welsh and Nebraska history. The small country cemetery on the property is the resting place of more than 100 people and remains an active cemetery today. Through stewardship, research, and community support, we work to care for this special place for future generations.
